867-5309 (Jenny) by Tommy Tutone

Intro/Chorus

The chorus is pretty much the same thing as the intro, when all guitars
come in. You will see by looking at the PTB file or PDF file of this
song.

Verse

The verse has the same recurring theme using the chords listed at this page’s top. Pay close attention to the rest in between, and you’ll do fine.

Pre-Chorus

Watch for the palm mutes, noted as PM on the staff. They are important in playing correctly, as they drop out in certain spots, creating dynamics. Also, watch for the dotted notes!

Bridge

Solo

Rhythm Guitars:

Lead Guitar:

There will be a trill in here, in the third measure of the lead guitar part. You can listen to the audio to hear how long the trill should be…” trilled.” A trill is performed by rapidly hitting the note in parentheses while anchoring your finger on the fret listed in front of it. Just use your 1st finger to anchor the fifth fret, and trill on the seventh fret with either your 3rd or 4th finger.

I recommend 3rd in this case. It sounds like you need to trill about three times, before applying vibrato to the seventh fret a few times.
