So, here's the deal with this song. You really want to play it
loosely by just following the overall strumming pattern. Since
this song is actually on a 12 string, it may be easier for you
to improvise a little with the chord voicings, as they won't provide
as much backbone in the song if you don't. By forming your basic
D chord, you will be able to play this song. Every note is just
a variation from the D.

On the recording, I paused for as long as you are supposed to.
It sounds weird, but you can see that there is an organ part,
which is not playable on the guitar.

Solo
Don't be afraid of the solo. It isn't easy, but you are following
basic scale patterns, all relatively easy to reach. Just take
your time, and play close attention to triplets, denoted by a
(3) in italic. Remember, a triplet is just an immediate 1-2-3.
No rests, nothing. Just...123. Also remember to keep those four
fretting fingers in line. NEVER NEVER NEVER try to over-reach
with another finger just because it LOOKS easier. That will cause
you trouble here. Odds are, if you are starting with your 1st
finger on the seventh fret, you will need to use your 2nd finger
on the eighth fret, and FOURTH finger when playing the tenth fret.
The highest we go is the tenth fret, and the lowest we go is the
fourth fret. SO.....always create your anchor with your 1st finger.
If you think about it, the seventh through tenth frets are so
close together, so there really isn't another way to do it.
Again, feel free to let me know if you need the fingerings for
this song. I will be glad to put them up. However, I bet you can
get it by just studying the tab. It's pretty darn perfect.
