Notice in the video and below that if you position your A chord
the correct way, the D/A chord isn't difficult to finger. You
will want to use your 1st finger on the second fret on the D string.
Use your 2nd finger for the second fret on the G string. Finally,
use your 3rd finger for the second fret on the B string. When
you transition chords, then all you have to do is slide your 2nd
and 3rd finger, lift off with your 1st finger, and use your 4th
finger to play the fourth fret on the D string.

Chorus
Here is what both guitar parts sound like together :

Guitar 2
This guitar part is played during the D chord in the last two
measures of the chorus above. Use your 1st finger and have it
barred over the G and B strings the entire time. That will help
you play the double sevens on the G and B string later. Use your
4th finger to play the tenth fret, then just move it to the ninth
and play that twice. Now you can see that if you barred your 1st
finger, you are playing the next part that transitions into the
next measure below. Just don't forget the rests!
