Chord Phrasing From The Em Shape

The Em chord scale pattern is the 1st position pentatonic minor.  This means when you are playing a Em chord or a Em style barre chord you can add notes from the Em scale pattern with relative ease, because the scale pattern is built around the chord pattern.
